About the Cyst
The patient had a small, 10 mm cyst under the skin of the right underarm. It fluctuated in size and was noticeable to touch. The patient chose to have it removed because it was uncomfortable and inconvenient.
How the Cyst Was Removed
The cyst removal procedure was carried out by Dr Amir Sadr under local anaesthetic. Once the area was fully numb, a small cut was made over the cyst, which was then carefully removed in one piece. The wound was closed with fine stitches and covered with a protective dressing.
The patient felt no pain during the procedure and was able to go home straight afterwards.
