Our City of London clinic is based at Warwick House, 65โ66 Queen Street, London EC4R 1EB, in the heart of the financial district. The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, Saturdays from 9am to 6pm, and Sundays from 11am to 6pm, with evening and weekend appointments available throughout the week.
Where to Find Us in the City of London
The Queen Street clinic sits between Cannon Street and the Thames, in the EC4 postcode. It is within a short walk of several major stations, making it one of the most accessible locations for dermatology and skin surgery in central London.
Cannon Street is less than two minutes on foot. Mansion House, Bank, and Monument are all within a four-to-six-minute walk, and London Bridge is approximately ten minutes away. For patients travelling by bus, routes along Queen Victoria Street and Upper Thames Street stop nearby.
Warwick House is a period building in a well-established commercial area, surrounded by the offices, professional services firms, and financial institutions that define this part of the City. The building is served by a lift.
City Dermatology Clinic also operates from 4 Harley Street, London W1G 9PB, providing a second location in the West End. Both clinics offer the same range of services and are staffed by the same team of GMC-registered consultants.
Evening and Weekend Appointments
A significant number of patients who attend the Queen Street clinic work in the surrounding area and find it difficult to take time away during the working day. The clinicโs extended hours are designed with this in mind.
Weekday evening appointments run until 8pm, which means a consultation or minor procedure can take place after the working day. For many of the concerns patients present with โ a mole they have been meaning to have assessed, a skin tag on the neck or face, a cyst that has been growing โ a single evening appointment may be sufficient for both consultation and treatment, depending on clinical assessment.
Saturday appointments (9amโ6pm) and Sunday appointments (11amโ6pm) offer further flexibility. Weekend availability can be particularly practical for procedures where a short recovery period is expected, as patients can schedule treatment for a Saturday and return to work on Monday.
The clinical process is the same regardless of when the appointment takes place. All patients are assessed individually by a consultant, and no treatment is carried out without a thorough discussion of the findings, the options, and what to expect.
Services at the Queen Street Clinic
The Queen Street clinic offers the full range of dermatology consultations, minor skin surgery, and specialist procedures available at City Dermatology Clinic.
Skin Lesion Assessment and Removal
Consultations for lumps, bumps, and skin lesions are among the most common reasons patients attend. The clinic regularly assesses and removes cysts, moles, lipomas, skin tags, and warts. Less common lesions such as dermatofibromas, cherry angiomas, and seborrhoeic keratoses are also treated.
Many patients have had a skin concern for months or years and book when the location, size, or appearance finally prompts them to have it looked at. In some cases, treatment may be carried out during the same appointment as the initial consultation โ this depends on what the clinician finds during the assessment and whether same-day removal is clinically appropriate.
Mole Checks and Skin Cancer Screening
A mole check involves a clinician examining one or more moles or skin lesions, typically because they have changed in size, shape, or colour, or because the patient wants reassurance. The clinician may use dermoscopy to examine the lesion in detail. If there is any concern, a biopsy or removal can be arranged, and tissue is sent for histological analysis when appropriate.
The clinic conducts over 500 skin cancer screening appointments each year across both locations.
Dermatology Consultations
Patients with ongoing skin conditions โ including acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, and hair-loss disorders โ can book a general dermatology consultation with a consultant dermatologist. These appointments involve a full assessment and a treatment plan tailored to the individual.
The clinic also offers follow-up consultations for patients already under the care of the dermatology team.
Specialist and Cosmetic Procedures
In addition to general lesion removal and dermatology, the Queen Street clinic provides a number of specialist services. These include chalazion (eyelid cyst) removal, keloid scar treatment, split earlobe repair, and other minor surgical procedures carried out under local anaesthetic.
For patients considering cosmetic procedures, the clinicโs team of consultant plastic surgeons also consults from both the Queen Street and Harley Street locations.
A consultation is required to confirm diagnosis and assess suitability for any procedure. Fees for consultations and procedures are listed on the pricing page.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
The process at the Queen Street clinic follows the same structure whether the appointment is on a Tuesday evening or a Sunday morning.
The clinician begins by examining the area of concern, discussing how long it has been present, whether it has changed, and any symptoms such as discomfort or tenderness. Dermoscopy or other examination tools may be used to evaluate the lesion more closely.
Following the assessment, the clinician explains what they have found, whether any treatment is recommended, and what the available options are. Risks, expected recovery, and aftercare are all discussed before any decision is made. There is no obligation to proceed.
If treatment is appropriate and can be carried out on the same day, it is usually performed under local anaesthetic. Post-procedure guidance is provided, and follow-up appointments, for wound checks or suture removal, are arranged as needed.
Suitability for any procedure depends on individual factors and is confirmed during consultation.
Our Doctors
Patients at the Queen Street clinic are seen by the same team of consultants who practise across both City Dermatology Clinic locations. The team includes consultant dermatologists, consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeons, and consultant ophthalmologists, each with specific clinical interests and NHS hospital affiliations.
